Faye Janesta Rogers / Hutchinson, 78, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at her home.

Faye was born October 18th 1942 in Tuskegee Institute , Alabama to the late James D. Rogers and Buena Vista Rogers.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Hutchinson, and siblings, James Rogers, Shirley Salley/Rogers, and Robert Rogers.

Survivors include her sons, Thomas Hutchinson and Keith Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jamaal, Jasmine, Cherelle, Kayla, Justin, Sydney, Landon, Isabelle, Maurice, and Eli; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Aaliyah; siblings, Gerald D. Rogers,  Bertha Rogers, and Nina Maxwell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Growing up, Faye was a member of the Butler Chapel AME Zion Church. Faye graduated from the Chambliss Children's House Elementary School and then attended the Tuskegee Institute High School through the 10th grade, relocating with family in Compton, California and graduated from Compton High School. Faye then attended The College of Compton for one year then relocated to New York City to be closer to her siblings, married and raised three children. Faye worked for New York Telephone Company/Verizon retiring and relocating to Lawrenceville,Georgia. When she needed assistance, her oldest son Thomas (Tiny) relocated Faye to live with him in Pooler, Georgia where she passed.

Faye loved Life, Family, Cooking and hosting holiday gatherings, and being surrounded by her grandchildren.

Faye will be forever missed and loved by all.

The memorial service to honor Faye's life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home – WEST CHATHAM CHAPEL – 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler, GA.
