Florence Lee (Dixie) Austin passed away on Thursday February 13, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by her family.  She was born on April 16, 1946, in Fredericksburg, VA and lived in Barnesville, GA for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents William Seal and Edith Kennedy both from Fredericksburg, VA ,  her daughter Tammy Ellen Landman of Gainesville, FL, Her Grandsons, Robert Landman of Claxton, GA and Brian Ritenour of Augusta, GA, and her granddaughter, Morley Martin of Augusta, GA. She is survived by her children Timothy (Darlene) Ritenour of Toccoa, GA, Wyndalyn (Charles) Ezeanya of Forsyth, GA, Tracy Ritenour of Barnesville, GA, Chris (Pat) Austin of Barnesville, GA, William (Haydee) Austin of Quitman, GA.; grandchildren: Timothy (Jeci) Ritenour, Sandy Ritenour, Micheal Ritenour, Christy (Justin) Cannon all from Toccoa, GA. Curtis (Patricia) Couch, Melissa (Ashley) Austin both of Barnesville, GA, Dalton (Bre) Miller of Griffin, GA, Adam (Makayla) Milner Forsyth, GA, Pricilla (Todd) Kidd of Richland, GA, Beth Crain, Briana Morten, Krystal Tatum all of Barnesville, GA, Jeremy Usry of Guyton, GA , Joseph (Skyler) Austin, Jonathan (Mandie) Austin, both from Guyton, GA, Christopher (Hannah) and Pau, Gregory and Jason Saxon, Erica Lee, Robby, Vidalia, and Memphis Mumford, Jesse Ward, Sophia and Lucie Miller; great grandchildren, Neal and Abby Austin, Elizabeth and Conner Austin, Amanda, Skylan, and Justin Cannon, Cassie, Annabel, and Irish Middleton, Timothy and Alexis Ritenour, Roger, Blaze, and Max Ritenour, Curt Couch, Kalub Miller, Ryan, and Bobby Martin. Kathryn and Ryan Ritenour. Charles, and Annabeth Crain, Alexis Milner, and Teresa (David) Mumford.  Dixie was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker for most of her life.  The family request in lieu of flowers to donate to King Henry's Animal Retreat in Floville, GA or Klassy Kat's in Jackson, GA or to Dauset Trails Center in Jackson, GA in Dixie's name. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm- 7:00pm on Monday February 17, 2025, at the Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home at 901 Highway 80 West in Pooler, GA 31312. The service to honor Dixie's life will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home follow by Graveside service at Gravel Hill Cemetery.  Pastor Steve McCoy will officiate and the active pallbearers will be Joseph Austin, Curtis Miller, Adam Milner, and Timothy Ritenour.  Thomas C.
