Mrs. Floy Slater Davis, 94, of Faulkville, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Effingham Hospital.

Mrs. Floy was born in Portal to the late Peter & Beulah Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin Slater, and her second husband, Stephen O. Davis.  She was a member of Meldrim United Methodist Church, Woodmen of the World, and the Bloomingdale Lions Club.  She was a sixty plus year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Richard T. Turner Chapter # 332, where she was a Past Worthy Matron, and served as secretary and treasurer.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ernest & Linda Slater and Kenny Slater; grandchildren, Jason T. & Jodi Slater, and Heather R. & Tom Kaufman; great-grandchildren, Jacob Riley Slater, Kayla Marie Slater and Alice Elizabeth Kaufman; sister, Melrose Jones and a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Order of Eastern Star service will be on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. with the funeral to follow in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
