Frances Hinely Gates
Lake Park, GA - Frances Hinely Gates, 87, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, GA.
The Effingham County native lived in Savannah until 1959 before moving to Lake Park, GA. She was a member of Lake Park Baptist Church. She was Miss Effingham County in 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Gates, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Mark) Lindsey of Lake Park, GA; their children, Ryan (Joy), Lauren, John, their grandchildren, Blythe and Lexie; her son, Dickie (Lequitta) Gates of San Antonio, FL, their children, Stacy (Andy) Getz, Megan Gates, their grandchildren, Taylor and Connor; her son, Robbie Gates of Lake Park, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 2 – 3 p.m. Monday followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery.
