Guyton – Frances Louise Smith Porter, 95, passed away peacefully September 9, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.

The South Carolina native retired from Union Camp.  She was a member of Pineora Baptist Church, enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Porter; son, Michael Shirley; step-son, Jerry Porter.

Survivors include her son, Maurice Shirley (Donna); step-sons, Craig Porter (Wanda) and Glen Porter (Brenda); step-daughter, Brenda Lumford; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
