Frances Elaine Brantley Thompson of Pooler, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Thompson was born on October 10, 1934 in Pooler, Georgia to Clara B Rider Brantley and Louie C Brantley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas C Thompson; grandson Jason Whitehouse; granddaughter Ashley August Thompson; great grandson Anthony Dakota Thompson; sisters Louise Hope, Inez Bryant and Elizabeth Bell; brothers LC Brantley and Floyd Brantley.
Mrs. Thompson was an anything Earnhardt fan. She also loved Elvis, watching Tom Brady play football, and her Atlanta Braves. She was famous for her fabulous Christmas Eve suppers. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Port Wentworth, Georgia.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughters Carol (Enoch/Bud) Harn of Rincon, GA and Iris (Mike) Hardy of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons Joseph Thompson of California, Larry (Paula) Thompson of Swainsboro, GA and John P Thompson of Pooler; grandchildren Brian Whitehouse, JT Thompson, Susie Thompson, Patrick Thompson and Lucas Thompson; great granddaughter Emily Thompson and great grandsons Caleb Whitehouse, Joshua Whitehouse, Jordan Hartmeyer and Johnny Hartmeyer. She also has several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to nieces Nancy Perry and Shannon O'Bryant for their exceptional loving care and devotion.
Thank you to all the care workers at Compassus Hospice for their excellent and above & beyond duty care.
Graveside services were held Friday, September 1, 2023 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Thomas C Strickland and Sons Funeral Home of Pooler handling all the arrangements.
