Obituary

Port Wentworth – Frank Neville Floyd, 84, passed away July 1, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

The Chatham County native graduated from Rincon High School in 1955 and Georgia Southern College  in 1960.  He was a member of Port Wentworth United Methodist Church.  He was a retired Industrial Arts Teacher having taught at Groves High School for a year and Mercer Middle School for 28 years.  He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  He enjoyed Nascar, yardwork, and crossword puzzles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Forrest Floyd and Alma Reita Neville Floyd; grandson, Frank Forest Floyd, III; and brother, James Hugh Floyd.

Survivors include his sons, Forrest Floyd and Will Floyd (Tracy); grandchildren, Kylie Floyd Judson (Michael), Luke Alexander Floyd, and Grant Durham Floyd; great-grandchildren, Frank Forrest Floyd, IV and Michael Theon Judson; brother, Charles Lynn Floyd; sister, Lynette Floyd Hohnerlein; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the funeral home followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. in the chapel.
