Mrs. Frankie Edenfield Wilkes
Pooler-Mrs. Frankie Edenfield Wilkes, 77, died on Monday, July 7, 2008 at Bryan
County Health and Rehab.
The Emanuel County native was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Wilkes. She
retired from K-Mart in Jacksonville, FL where she was the personnel manager. She
attended Rothwell Baptist Church, was a member of the Pooler Garden Club and
volunteered at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry & Marcia Wilkes, Sr. of
Savannah and Dean Wilkes of Savannah; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren;
three brothers, Ray and Harry Edenfield, both of Jacksonville, FL and Ed Edenfield of
Bulloch County and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road. Rev. Tommy East will officiate
and the pallbearers will be Daniel Butler, Zach Burke, Greg Wilkes, Lee Wilkes, Jerry
Edenfield and Delone Edenfield.
