Newington-Mr. Freddie Gene Stephens "Kirby", 59, passed away on Tuesday, February
15, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mr. Freddie was born in Swainsboro and was employed as a supervisor at National
Gypsum. He loved to fish, barbeque and racing. He was preceded in death by his
mother, Gladys Copeland Stephens.

Survivors include his wife, Vernanda Elizabeth Stephens; children, Lorrie Cannon
(Bobby Cannon), Ashley Gene Stephens (Tina Wiggins), Justin R. Stephens (Rachel
Davis), Amanda Williford, Rena Kirkland (Jeremy Rollins) and "Billy" William
Kirkland, Jr. (Courtney Kirkland); mother of his children, Carol Robider; grandchildren,
Dillon & Dalton Cannon, Madelyn & Mikalen Stephens and Justin "Little Man"
Stephens; father, Arlie Stephens; sister, Lorraine Phillips; several half-brothers,
half-sisters and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-7 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the funeral home

Memorial Service: 7 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home.
