Frederick M. Spencer
Springfield – Frederick M. Spencer, 85, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Westview Nursing Home.
The Maine native was retired from the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam and receiving the Purple Heart. After retirement he owned and operated a locksmith business. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick H. Spencer and Agnes B. Spencer; and wife, Naomi N. Spencer.
Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Lefever of Springfield and Ada Gerwig of Maryland; 5 grandchildren, Billy Bunce, Brian Bunce, SFC Joseph Bunce, Gary Rule, Jr., and Kyle Raysor; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Letha Currie and Verna Cirrhosis.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 5 p.m. in the chapel.
Remembrances may be given to Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
