Frederick Cyrus Zeigler

Guyton- Frederick Cyrus Zeigler, 87, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his home under the care of Affinis Hospice of Pooler.

The Effingham County native was born August 14, 1931 to the late Daniel R. & Ida Zeigler. He was a 1948 graduate of Marlow Consolidated High School and served in the Army National Guard. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Stone Container for many years until he retired. He enjoyed NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves, he took pride in owning Ford Crown Victoria's over the years, and often spoke of life experiences he had in the past. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia.

Survivors include his sons, Frederick, Zeigler,Jr. (Imee), Ricky Zeigler, and Jake Zeigler (Lane); 8 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Carl Grovenstein, as well as, many other friends and extended family members.

The family wants to thank, Affinis Hospice of Pooler for their compassionate care, especially, Philomena.

Visitation: 9:30 – 11 am Monday, November 26, 2018 in the funeral home.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
