Mrs. Freida DeLoach Barras, 82 , of Garden City, GA, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Pembroke, GA, was raised in Evans County, and spent a number of years in Garden City.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Lonnie DeLoach and Margaret Onola Kicklighter DeLoach; and her husband, Roy J. Barras.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and retired as a nurse from St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital.  She enjoyed fishing, quilting, and reading.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Julie) Barras, Rene Jude (Michele) Barras, and Nicole Margaret Beaver; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill DeLoach and Lonnie DeLoach (Dora); sister-in-law, Barbara Colson, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The Rosary will be on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 5 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with visitation to follow.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church located at 501 South Coastal Hwy in Port Wentworth.  The burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
