Savannah – Freida Usher Morgan, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Hospice Savannah.

Freida was born in Guyton, GA, August 30, 1929, the 13 ^th and youngest child of Jesse W. Usher and Ada Wilson Usher, now deceased. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Booth Morgan, Jr.; daughter Lisa Marie Morgan; sisters, Melbry Tootle, Grace Hicks, Lillie Mae Hinely, Monteen Maulden, Cora Belle Zeagler, Sadie Shearouse; brothers, Walton Usher, Wilson Usher, Woodrow Usher, Wingard Usher, William Kenneth Usher and Calvin Usher.

She graduated from Guyton High School and Draughon's Business College. She had been a legal secretary, taught at Draughon's Business College, church secretary and treasurer at Clayton Miller Methodist Church, and retired after 20 years from Savannah Foods & Industries.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Pastor's Sunday School Class, Silver Nuggets, Windsor Forest Golden Age Center, American Legion Post 184, Smart Senior and Generation One.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside service will be 12 noon Friday, August 26. 2022 at Turkey Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery, 899 Turkey Branch Rd., Springfield, GA 31329.
