Freida passed away on Friday October 13 around 3 am at The Legacy Memory Care in Pooler, Georgia due to Congestive Heart Failure and Dementia. In her last hours she seemed like she was having a nightmare, she could not be woken up. She is with Jesus, in a perfect place and in no pain. We would like to thank all of the people at The Legacy Memory care that took care of her, her physician Dr. Wallace Holland Jr., and the staff at Saint Joseph's hospital for the excellent care that they gave her.
Freida is preceded in death by her dad, Marvin Wyles and momma Alma Wyles, Her husband of 50 years Addison Rahn, son Randy Ray Rahn as well as an infant son, sister Ruby Rahn, brother in laws Newell Rahn, William "Billy" Redd, and niece Nancy Hodges.
Survivors are her son Dewey Rahn, her daughter in love Ruth Rahn, a sister Marjorie Redd as well as cousins, nieces, and her best friend Mary Jane Duff as we call her our angel. She was always there when needed. Grandchildren Jonathan Rahn, wife Mindi, Stephanie Rahn Simpson, husband, Joey, and 5 great grandchildren as well as her two cats Tabatha and Sarah.
Freida was a devoted Christian. In her younger days she sang in a number of gospel groups and she loved reading The Bible. Freida is and was a child of God. She loved helping people out and being with friends. Freida loved nature and the outdoors. She will be missed by many. We know that you cannot beat living with Jesus, if anyone that reads this is not a true Christian we know that Freida and her family would love for you to invite Jesus into your heart. Once you breathe your last breath, it is too late. Also spend time with you loved ones and keep current pictures.
Visitation: 2-3 pm Thursday, October 19, 2023 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 3 pm Thursday, October 19, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.
Burial: Springfield Cemetery
In lieu of flowers the family request monetary donations to offset the cost of her care. Donations can be sent to Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel.
