Gail Hodges Rempel

Rincon – Gail Hodges Rempel, 71, passed away October 18, 2020 at Effingham Care Center.

The Effingham County native was a homemaker who loved people, plants, and pets. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed taking care of others whom she always put first.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Hodges and Juanita Loper Hodges; husband, Robert F. "Bob" Rempel; and son, Dusty Carter.

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda Newell (Richard, III) and Kim Exley (Larry, Jr.); grandchildren, R.J. and Sydney Newell, Jill and Trey Exley, Erika Mock (Travis), Dustin and James Carter; sisters, Diane Steed (Tommie) and Nell Lovell; brother, Wayne Hodges (Donna); and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rincon Cemetery.
