Mr. Gary A. Dumnich
Savannah-Mr. Gary A. Dumnich, 58, is at peace as of Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Candler
Hospital.
Gary was born in Greensburg, PA to the late John & Betty Dumnich. He was formerly a
registered nurse at Candler Hospital. He served his country in the United States Marines
during the Vietnam Era, loved playing golf and riding his motorcycle. He is finally pain
free and at peace with his mom and dad.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Skinger Dumnich of Savannah; daughters, Lena &
Tommy Altman of Rincon and Felicia & John Turner of Canton; granddaughters, Alexis
and Alyssa Turner of Canton; step-son, Jason Fedak of California; siblings, Joanne &
Gary O'lear and their children, Gary, Jr. & Christina O'lear, Shelly & David Fennell and
their children, Jocelyn and Michael and Johnny Dumnich and his children, Stephen and
Faith Ann and Johnnie, Jr. ; he is also survived by his dearest and beloved friends,
Thomas "Tomas" & Patti Boyle, Paul & Rose Veres and beloved friends and family of
ICU and additional family members, Belinda, Jennifer and Christina.
"I left with my hair on fire going 200 miles per hour on my motorcycle."
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with military honors.
Graveside Funeral: 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at Beaufort National Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers remembrances may be sent to the Backus
Childrens Hospital at Memorial Health University Medical Center, 4700 Waters Avenue,
Savannah, GA 31404.
