Rincon – Gary Mastin, 69, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at his home.

The Effingham County native was retired from the Georgia Ports Authority after over 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Shirley Horton; and his brother, Travis Horton.

Survivors include his children, Michael Mastin, Paul Mastin, and Abby Tebeau; grandchildren, Jon, Hunter, Brody, Calleigh Mastin, James & Bella Tebeau; sisters, Melanie Joyner (Wayne), Barbara Joyner (Melvin), Amy Rahn (Billy, Jr.); brothers, Phil Mastin (Nancy) and Matt Horton (Lori); sister-in-law, Diane Horton; and lifelong friend and caretaker, Trudie Scott.

Graveside service will be 10 am Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Rincon Cemetery.

Remembrances may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
