Mr. Gary Bradford Stallcup, 84, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Gary is going to be missed by his wife of 53 years, Sue McGaughey Stallcup; beloved father to Amy Stallcup Daniel (Matt) and Scott Bradford Stallcup (Abbie); Gary's grandchildren who referred to him as "Poppy", Leighton Grace Stallcup, Remi Wynn Stallcup, and Stone Bradford Stallcup; step-grandchildren, Cody Matthew Daniel and Colton Ryan Daniel, and his beloved dog, Molly.

Gary was born in Bryson City, North Carolina but lived in Pooler most of his life.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton "E.B." Stallcup and Violet "Vi" Byrd Stallcup.  Gary was in the first graduating class of Groves High School where he was on the football team.  He worked for Chevron for many years before making the move to Colonial Oil Industries where he retired after many years of service.  Gary enjoyed going with Sue to Tybee Island and spending time together at the beach.  He enjoyed hunting with family and friends, especially Scott and his buddies.  Gary was known as Big G and was dedicated to coaching, from Sue's softball team, Thompson Sporting Goods, to coaching many years in the Pooler Recreation Department, to enjoying watching his grandchildren play sports, and never missed attending one of their games.

The visitation will be on Saturday, May 31st from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon at the funeral home.
