Pembroke – Gene Screen, 83, passed away September 28, 2023 at East GA Regional Medical Center.

The Portal native was the owner/operator of Screen's Tire Service and loved dirt track racing.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Susie Screen; and siblings, Grace Rahn, J.C. Screen, Ginnie Shuman, Shirley Long, Charlie Screen, and Ray Screen.

Survivors include his children, Sandra Carter, David M. Screen, Richard Screen, and Robin Screen; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy Screen (Sharon), David Screen, and Betty Brier (Danny); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2023 followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
