Bloomingdale - Geneva Mae "Dee Dee" Cook, 88, died on Wednesday at her home under the care of Odyssey Home Health Care.

Dee Dee was a native of Bryan County and a graduate of Bryan County High School. She lived the last 35 years in Faulkville. She was active in the Lakeside Farms Community Association and one of the original founding members of the Faulkville Fire Department and Auxiliary and the first female bindery foreman for Kennickell Printing. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was a fun loving individual who loved to fish and work in her yard with her flowers. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her parents, William Canty Cook and Hettie Bell Davis and two brothers, Marvin Edison Cook, Sr. and Robert Lee Cook.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Cooke of Faulkville; sister, Edith Beasley of Bloomingdale; sister in law, Ann Cook of Savannah; 9 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Lower Black Creek Cemetery in Ellabell.
