George R. "Bobby" Campbell, Jr., 58, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at his home.  Bobby was born in Covington, Kentucky to the late George R. Campbell, Sr. and Betty Lavon Campbell.  He served his country in the United States Marine Corp, was a Mason, and was employed at CSX Railroad for 27 years as a signalman/foreman/welder.  Bobby was very gifted in doing electrical, welding, or wood working.  He built and installed the cabinets and countertops in his home and enjoyed building grandfather clocks.  He enjoyed watching Kentucky Wildcat basketball, college football, but most of all spending time with his family.  Survivors include his wife, Margaret M. Campbell; children, Kelsey Campbell Roach (Steven) and Hunter Campbell (Ashley); grandchildren, Lainey Campbell and Bodee Campbell, as well as two on the way; sisters, Rebecca McGaha, Robin O'Brien, and Brenda Mitchell; several nieces, nephews and his dogs Sadie and Oscar.  The visitation will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  The graveside funeral and burial to honor Bobby's life will be on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery located at 1601 Boundary Street in Beaufort, South Carolina.  Thomas C.
