Wilmington Island-Mr. George Frederic Hood, 64, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at his home.
Fred was born in Rome and was preceded in death by his mother, Emogene Moore Hood. He was a graduate of Cass High School and attended Floyd College. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Georgia Power Company. Fred was a friend to all, and because of his outgoing personality, he never met a stranger. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Brown Hood; children, Joshua Adam Hood (Leigh), Jennifer Anne O'Sako (Tim), and Megan Elizabeth Hood; grandchildren, Ryan O'Sako, Chandler, Makayla , & Trenton Harrison, and Charlotte Hood; father, George Byrd Hood; sister, Paula Fletcher (Roger); nephew, Taylor Fletcher.
The memorial service will be on Friday, June 9th at 11 a.m. at the Kingston United Methodist Church located at 26 East Main Street in Kingston, GA.
