Savannah-Mr. George Elmer Smith, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at his
home.
Mr. Smith was born in Bacon County to the late Ward & Myrtle V. Carver Smith. He
resided in Montawk, Long Island most of his life and lived in Savannah for the past
eighteen years. He attended South Gardens Christian Church and was preceded in death
by a brother, Delmas Alvin Smith.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry A. & Becky Smith of Rincon;
sister-in-law, Joyce Smith of Statesboro and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Graveside Funeral: 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Martha Memorial Methodist Church
Cemetery in Bacon County.
