George Stanley Wingate, 48, of Pooler, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

He was born in Savannah to the late George Skinner Wingate, Jr. and Janie Lunelle Archer Winters.  He was a member of Compassion Christian Church (Henderson Campus) and was a proud member of the Pivot Men's Group.  He was employed at Gulfstream and loved playing golf.

Survivors include his wife, Heather Hostetler Wingate; son, Zachary Garrison Wingate; sisters,  Kathi Dixon (Craig) and Gale Huggins; mother-in-law, Helen Hostetler; sister-in-law, Dawn Hostetler MacMillan (Roy); nieces and nephews, Michael Prewitt (Tarah), Justin Prewitt (Tiffany), John Huggins, Stephanie Huggins Portilla (Juan), Lindsay Rahn (Austin), Kaitlyn Dixon (Nick), Amelia MacMillan and Corinne MacMillan; great-nephew, Jacob Huggins.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
