Rincon – George Phillip Young, Sr., 54, passed away December 10, 2024 at his residence.

The Augusta native formerly worked as a surveyor, he enjoyed fishing and all sports.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs, Kilo and Otis.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Tina and Jimmy Busbee.

Survivors include his children, Catlin Muns Humphries, George Phillip Young, Jr. (Abby), Alton Thomas Young, and Coral Young; grandchildren, Jakob and Kaleb Humphries; his father and step-mother, George T. and Cherry Young; sister, Kathy Roberts and Mandy Trull (Kevin), brothers, Tracy Busbee (Stephanie) and Lee Gordon; and several nieces and nephews.

No formal services will be held.
