George "Pete" Zipperer, 61, of Ellabell, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Pete was born in Savannah, Georgia to the late James B. & Daisy Schmitt Zipperer.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, David B. Zipperer, and a great-niece, Madyson.  He was the owner and operator of Southern Stucco Company, was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed fishing and bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Zipperer; children, Anna Fox (Sean), James Zipperer, and Kathryn Zipperer; brother, James A. Zipperer; sister and brother-in-law, Pam & Brian McCawley; several nieces and nephews; one great-niece, Adaline, one great-nephew, Landen; one aunt, Mary Zipperer Livingston, one uncle, Herbert Schmitt, and many cousins.

The memorial service to celebrate Pete's life will be on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler.
