Georgia Alexander Lee, 74, of Rincon, Georgia, passed peacefully into eternal rest on February 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and dear friends.
Born on March 22, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, Georgia moved with her family to Savannah in 1954, where she would spend most of her life building a legacy of faith, love, and devotion to others. She was a 1969 graduate of Savannah High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Alexander of Lyons, Georgia, and her mother, Hazel Sullivan Alexander of Savannah, Georgia.
It was at First Alliance Church where Georgia met the love of her life, Ken Lee. Their marriage of 54 years was a beautiful testimony of commitment, partnership, and enduring love. Together they built a home centered on faith and family and lovingly raised their two daughters, Alexis and Heather. Georgia had four grandsons, Drew, Patrick, AJ and Lane, who were the pride and joy of her life.
A member of Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton, GA, Georgia faithfully served her church and community. She had a special and tender love for babies and children, dedicating much of her time to caring for them all within the family, church and beyond. Her nurturing spirit, gentle kindness, and servant’s heart touched countless lives.
Georgia had a passion for horticulture and took particular delight in orchids, whose beauty reflected her own gentle spirit. She also expressed love through her kitchen, where she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition, bringing loved ones together around abundant meals filled with warmth, laughter, and fellowship.
Georgia’s life was marked by selfless love and a strength of caring for others that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Kenneth R. Lee of Rincon; her daughters, Alexis McIlrath (Brian) of Guyton and Heather Bagby (Justin) of Vidalia; her sister, Vicki Alexander of Savannah; and her beloved grandchildren, Drew McIlrath, Patrick McIlrath, AJ Bagby, and Lane Bagby.
A strong family relationship was of utmost importance to Georgia. She grew up in the presence of a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins on the Alexander and Sullivan sides. Many have gone before but remaining is Aunt Dottye Hannan of Montgomery, AL and many cousins.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Bridge Hospice of Pooler for their kindness, comfort, and support. Remembrances can be made to Bridge Hospice or Countryside Baptist Church Playground Project.
