Savannah-Mrs. Georgia P. Zettler, 88, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Azalealand Nursing Home.
Mrs. Georgia was born in Savannah to the late William & Susie Pulaski. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin B. Zettler, and a sister, Helen Wise. She had lived in Guyton for a number of years before moving to Savannah. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rincon where she was a member of the W.M.U., and the Jolly Singers. After working for Cargill & Company for a number of years, she accepted a position with the Chatham County Board of Education and retired from there. She was a former Pink Lady at Effingham Hospital, and a member of the Red Hatters.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Silvia & Kenneth Frost; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn A. & Patty Zettler; grandchildren, Tara F. Chapman, Holly F. Wade, Jason M. Zettler, and Rachel R. Zettler; great-grandchildren, Chloe A. Chapman, and Garrett Chapman, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
