Obituary
Ellabell - Gerald "Wayne" Caudill, 65, passed away on February 11, 2011 under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, GA.
Mr. Caudill was born in Birmingham, AL on May 12, 1945 and was a retired brick mason. He loved to hunt and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Payton Harn.
He is survived by Ann Caudill and their two children, Payton Caudill (Alison) and Donna Caudill. He has eight grandchildren, Tyler and Jesse Long, Ansley Bennett, Hannah, Clay, Payson, and Ally Caudill, and Cason Edenfield. He has three brothers, Richard, Elliott, and Stanley; and seven sisters, Shirley, Joyce, Yvonne, Tyra, Jeanette, Viola, and Vivian; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Private graveside services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude's. Mr. Caudill always thought St. Jude's was a wonderful organization and did a terrific job.
A special thanks to Ogeechee Area Hospice and a wonderful nurse named Brian and to all the in-home nurses from St. Joseph's/Candler.
