Mr. Gerald K. Cullifer, Sr. age 84, of Ellabell, passed away March 5, 2020.  Gerald retired from the US Army, including service in the Vietnam War.  He is preceded in death by his first wife, Birdie Smoak Cullifer, his second wife, Mary Sue John Cullifer, a son, George Everett Cullifer, and grandchildren, Gwendoline Amanda Sue Davis and Joshua Samuel Cullifer. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Regina Cullifer, of Ellabell; son, Jerald K. Cullifer, Jr., of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday evening 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, 11:30 AM at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons West Chatham Chapel. Interment with full military honors will be at Beaufort National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Jerald K. Cullifer, Jr., Jerald K. Cullifer, III, Benjamin Jordan Cullifer, Charles Davis, Jeremy Atkison, Summer Evans.  VFW POST 660 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
