Brunswick-Mr. Jerry F. Thrift, 61, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home in Brunswick, GA surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born in Savannah and had lived in Coral Springs, Florida for the past 20 years before moving to Brunswick. He was employed with Ryder System in Miami, was a former chairman of TMC and was a member of S.A.E. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia W. Thrift of Brunswick; two daughters and a son-in-law, Micah Lauren O'Brien & Matt of Clermont, FL and Kortney Thrift of Brunswick; granddaughter, Harper Faith O'Brien of Clermont; father, Foster Thrift of Garden City; brother, Ricky Thrift of Rincon; aunt, Doris Clark of Savannah; several nieces, nephews and his beloved granddog, Benelli.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Glyndale Baptist Church located at 132 Butler Drive in Brunswick. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral. The graveside funeral and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens located at 315 Greenwich Road in Savannah.
