Geraldine Deloach Beasley

Springfield – Geraldine Deloach Beasley, 96, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2019 at the Effingham Care Center.

She was a native of Bulloch County born on November 28, 1922. She is preceded in death by her husband W.J. (Jimmy) Beasley, her parents Tom A. and Mary Deloach, and step-daughter Mrs. Linda Johnson.

She was a 1944 graduate of the Candler Hospital School of Nursing and retired from the Effingham County Health Department as Lead Nurse in 1988.

Mrs. Beasley is survived by her daughter, Carol Beasley of Bulloch County; her son, Chris (Helen) Beasley of Rincon, GA; step-daughter, Elizabeth McGovern of Jacksonville, FL.

Grandchildren, John (Dawn) McGovern, Debbie Barley of Jacksonville, FL, Sealy Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Sandy (Tracey) Cooper of Brentwood, TN, Fran (Jonathan) Burke of Athens, GA, Erin Strader of Albany, NY, Mandy (Justin) Heyward of Charleston, SC, Rusty (Sarah) Beasley of Rincon, GA; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the funeral home followed by graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Effingham Care Facility Staff for Mrs. Beasley's care during her stay.
