Springfield –Geraldine Seckinger Bragg, 83, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital after a long battle with lung disease.

The Effingham county native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield. She had retired from the Effingham Board of Education, where she had worked in the cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gazzie Lannie Seckinger, Sr and Ida Mae Davis Seckinger; her husband, Herman George Bragg; her daughter, Rhonda Renee Hargrove; and siblings, Ida Helmly, Lannie Seckinger, and Billy Seckinger.

She is survived by her children, Debra Gail Buchan (Mike), Herman Troy Bragg, and John David Bragg (Joy); son-in-law, John Hargrove; grandchildren, Robbie Bragg (Shana), Sean Bragg (Lee), Michael Buchan, Sherry Hoffman (Ray), AJ Hargrove (Mandy), Amy Knighton (LeeLee), Mathew Bragg, April Mahan (Steven); 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be 11 am Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Springfield Cemetery where social distancing will be observed.
