Mrs. Geraldine C. Saxon, 86, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at her home.

Geraldine was born in Tattnall County and had lived in Bloomingdale for many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clark Saxon, parents, Willis and Eathel Tucker Cameron, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Saxon, a grandson, Quinn Saxon, a great-granddaughter, Rianne Sasser, her sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Jimmy Deal, and her brother, Willard Cameron.  She retired from SunTrust Bank and St. Joseph's Hospital where she was a switchboard operator.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale.  She loved our Lord, she enjoyed playing basketball and softball, and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, and was known for her pecan pies.

Survivors include her children, Ronny Saxon (Elizabeth), Tessie Richey (Jim), Randy Saxon (Geri), and Sherry Shuman (Henry); grandchildren, Bonnie Saxon, Daniel Jones (Whitlee), Jennifer Talley (James), Brandy Marshall (Rusty), Zack Saxon (Courtney), and Johnathan Shuman (Cora); great-grandchildren, Kayden, Colson, Jamison, Isla Grace, Noah, Achaia, Emma, Lacey, Justus, Jax, Blaklee, Kinsley, Connor, Marianne, Madeleine, and Steven-Henry; sister-in-law, Faye Cameron, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Geraldine's life will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Pastor Ronny Saxon and Pastor Steve Blake will officiate.  The active pallbearers will be Randy Grovenstein, Daniel Jones, Johnathan Shuman, Zack Saxon, James Talley, and Achaia Duggar.  The honorary pallbearers will be Kayden, Colson, Jamison, Jax, Connor, and Steven-Henry.  The graveside funeral and burial will follow at Lake Cemetery off of Highway 46 near Metter at 2:30 p.m.
