Mr. Gilbert Cecil Barrs, 70, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Memorial Hospital.

Gilbert was born in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Leeroy Barrs and Mildred Mock Spikes.  He was a carpenter by trade and was known for his great carpenter skills.  In his free time he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and listening to music.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Diane Barrs; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gilbert Cecil Barrs, Jr. and Jeremy Allen Barrs (Shelby); grandchildren, Mitchell Allen Barrs (Brooklyn), Jace A. Barrs, and Garrett Johnson; great-granddaughter, Paisley Mae Barrs; brother, Frank Barrs; sisters, Glenda Sue Brown and Wanda Dell Barrs, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Barrs wishes were to be cremated.
