Petersburg, WV-Mrs. Gladys Pearl Kenner Waters, 88, died on Friday, October 3, 2008 at
the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV.

Mrs. Gladys was born in Brunswick, GA on August 17, 1920 to the late Gladys Frink
Kenner and William Edward Kenner. She lived most of her life in McIntosh County
where she retired as a school bus driver for the McIntosh County School System. She
was a member of the Crescent Baptist Church in Crescent, GA and was also preceded in
death by her husband of 53 1/2 years, Raymond W. Waters, Sr. and a sister, Hazel Kenner
Freeman.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Parker of Darien, GA, Sherri (Doug) Peavy of
Shellman Bluff, GA, Mary Deborah Lee of Athens, GA and Ramona (Jim) Hanlin of Mt.
Storm, WV; sons, Raymond "Buzzy" (Carolyn) Waters, Jr. of Darien, GA, David Waters
of Saudi Arabia and Daniel Waters of Darien, GA; sisters, Helen Adams of Shellman
Bluff, GA and Billie (Tex) Richardson of Bush, LA; sister-in-law, Juanita Esposito of
Conneticut; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home,
West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.

Funeral: 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Crescent Baptist Church in Crescent, GA with
interment to follow at 2:30 p.m. at the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in
Bulloch County, GA. Pallbearers will be Barry Peavy, Gerald Mixon, Heath Mixon,
Wiley Anderson, Thomas Waters, John Thomas and Donald Gordon.
