Mr. Glen Adams Taulbee, Sr.
SAVANNAH – Mr. Glen Adams Taulbee, Sr., 80, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at his home under Hospice Care.
Glen was a native of Middleton, Ohio and a member of Bible Baptist Church of Savannah, GA. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy, and a Veteran of the Korean War having served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. Glen left Savannah for Korea with "D" Company of the 10th Infantry Division in 1950, and served as a field radio operator during his service there. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League of Savannah.
Glen was predeceased by his parents, William and Amanda Adams Taulbee, and a sister Pauline Williams
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janet Paul Taulbee of Savannah, a son, Glenn Adams Taulbee, Jr. (Kathy) of Pooler; a daughter, Susan Taulbee Marmolejo of Savannah; his grandchildren, Adam Taulbee, Marcie Zettler (Joey), David Marmolejo and Suzanne Bracken (Michael); great grandchildren, Madison and Cameron Bracken and Joey Zettler; three sisters, Barbara Haley of Brooksville, KY, Ruby Nemeth (John) of Staten Island, NY, and Patty Nicolosi of Las Vegas, NV. and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation; 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a full Military Honors burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah.
