Obituary
Garden City-Mr. Glenn Vernon Holland, 85, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Holland was born in Cobbtown, GA, served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Jordan Holland and Mollie Lettie Green Holland; his wife, Sarah Pierce Holland; sisters, Vera Dell Owens and Emma Louise Holland and brothers, Clisby Talmadge Holland, Harvey Donald Holland and Bobby Holland. He retired at the age of 83 from Worrell Construction Company after many years of the planning and constructing of a number of commercial buildings throughout Savannah.
Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Holland of Garden City; sister, Nell Stokes of Meldrim and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 12-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Greenwich Cemetery.
