Ms. Gloria Jean Childers Braswell "Mema", 78, of Eden, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at her daughter's home.

Gloria was born in Augusta, GA and was preceded in death by her parents, Mae & Bill Criswell, a son, Brook Christian Braswell, and a daughter-in-love, Pam Braswell.  She was a devout Catholic, a great baker known for her Bon Bon's, and will be remembered for loving her family.  She was a supporter of ASPCA and an avid cat lover.  She was a supporter of the Cherokee Nation as well as mission work, including a child in Africa that she helped to put through school.  She had been previously employed at Rogerwood Industries, Mobile Chemical, Lily Tulip, and retired from GA Pacific after 17 years of service.

Survivors include her son, Lee Braswell (Teresa); daughter, DeeDee Morris (Bobby); daughter-in-love, Lynn Braswell; grandchildren, Amanda (Tom), Jon (Mandie), Scotty (Ashlee), and Katie (Josh); great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Emily, Christian, Eddie, Bryan, and Pammie; sister, Evelyn Alexander; brother, Kim Criswell, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Monday, February 14 ^th from 2 until 3:30 at the funeral home.  The memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Powers Baptist Church Cemetery.
