Born in Appling County, Georgia, Gloria was the cherished daughter of the late Myrtice Florine Faircloth and George Marvin Cravitz.  She was lovingly raised in Swainsboro, Georgia by her devoted grandparents, Lora and Lawrence Faircloth.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Gloria is survived by her four loving daughters, Kathy (Stanley) Layne, Tammy (Johnny) Monroe, Connie (Jeff) Garrett, and Joy (Keith) Woods.  She was a proud and beloved grandmother to Michael (Katie) Layne, Lora (Marcus) Batchelor, Kaylan (John Paul) Moore, Brandon (Brittany) Woods, Bradley (Jordan) Woods, Amber Monroe, Morgan (Cale) Craft, Maureen Truett, and Mary Truett.  Her legacy continues through her 10 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Charles Anthony "Tony" Truett, and great-granddaughter, Katrina Russell.

Gloria dedicated many years to raising her daughters with love and care.  She also worked as a secretary for Rexnord and Gulfstream Aerospace, where she was known for her diligence and warmth.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Gloria was a prayer warrior who found joy and strength in her Christian faith.  Throughout her life, she was an active member of Meldrim Baptist Church, El Bethel Baptist Church, and The Meldrim Church.  Her dedication to ministry was evident through her involvement in the Women's Mission Group, Girls in Action, Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School at Meldrim Baptist Church.  She was known for her unwavering love of God and her deep devotion to her family.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to The Gardens Senior Living and Regency Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia, for their compassionate care and kindness shown to Gloria.

Donations may be made in Gloria's memory to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 329, Palmetto, GA  30268.
