Mrs. Gloria L. Farris, 85, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Candler Hospital.

Gloria was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Bertha Weatherhorn Hall, and her beloved youngest son, Timothy Purdee.  Gloria was a telephone operator at Answer Call for many years.  She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, planting flowers, dancing and all her jewelry, makeup and perfume.  She will forever be remembered most for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her sweet, loving husband of 40 years, Autry Farris; children, Mike Purdee (Liz), Mark Farris (Lee), and Kenny Farris (fiancé-Julie); grandchildren, Melissa Cross (Jake), Mallory Strickland (Justin), Matthew Purdee (Ginny), Autry, and Kayleigh; great-grandchildren, Lakelynn, Oaklynn, Lily, Violet, and Rose, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.  Gloria was preceded in death by her siblings, Patty Dubois, Sanford Hall, Francis Hall, Adolph Hall, Evelyn Chelette, Sol Hall, Hennen Hall and Lena Edwards.

The memorial service to honor Gloria's life will be on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Countryside Baptist Church located at 1201 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton, GA.  Flowers may be delivered to the church.
