Obituary

Golden Christopher Hennessey was born December 21, 1979 in Phoenix, Az and departed this life December 10, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.

Survived by his mother, Denice Quenon, Wentzville, Mo, his stepfather, Daniel Quenon, Pekin, Ill, bother, Brig (Rebecca) Hennessey, Dayton Tn, sister, Shandra (Tony) Bond, Roanoke, Ill. Grandmother, Sharon K Huber of San Diego, CA and parent-in-laws, J Clayton and Pam Metts of Savannah. Golden also loved his special aunt and uncle, Ron and Tuni Smith, Uncles Alan, Mark and Craig Huber, all of Brawley CA. and his great uncle, James Roberson of Omaha, AR. He also adored his special friend, Lori Cochran, Pooler, GA.

Golden spent his young life in Lead Hill, AR. It was upon those NW AR lakes that he discovered the lifelong passion of fishing. Together with his best friend and brother, Brig, they fished with an unlimited energy and enthusiasm every lake they could cast into. Golden also enjoyed golfing, skeet shooting and cooking, making his favorite coastal dishes

Sharing his intense fishing passion was his absolute devotion to his nieces, Hayden and Bristal Hennessey and nephews, Tucker and Lane Bond and Braylon Baughn.

Golden was employed by the Georgia Ports Authority, where every day he operated his crane, was a great day.

People gravitated to Golden enjoying his kindness, compassion, love and making sure that all had a good time. He was a firecracker with a hilarious personality and always had a good story to share.

Golden will be greeted in heaven by his grandfather, Glen Huber, sister, Shauna Hennessey, cousin, Jared Huber, Uncle Joe Roberson, Great grandparents, Joe and Cleo Roberson and Henry and Evelyn Huber.

Golden will be greeting everyone with a pole and a map to that secret fishing hole.

In lieu of flowers, Golden would love a donation of a child's fishing pole which will be distributed to children of the community in the spring. Nothing would please Golden more than to help a youngster discover his passion and absolute love of fishing.

Telling of Fish Tales will take place at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home - West Chapel, 901 US-80  Pooler GA,  from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  on December 18, 2021 with a Memorial Service immediately following.
