Bloomingdale-Mr. Gordon W. Hendricks, 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at
his home with his family at his side.

Mr. Hendricks was born in Screven County to the late George W. & Sula Hendricks. He
was a Deacon Emeritus and long time member of the First Baptist Church of
Bloomingdale where he also attended the Ben Stewart Sunday School Class. He retired
from Southland Life Insurance Company and served his country in the National Guard.
He was also preceded in death by a son, William Dale Hendricks.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Doris J. Hendricks of Bloomingdale; three
children, Brenda Joyce Cave of Savannah, Donna Marie Fetzer (Norwood) of Guyton and
Timothy Gordon Hendricks (Melissa) of Richmond Hill; seven grandchildren, ten
great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Mr. Hendricks life will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale with Rev. Barry Joiner and Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. The Deacons of the Church will serve as active pallbearers and the members of the Ben Stewart Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Hendricks will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow at Guyton Cemetery.
