Grady F. Wallace, Jr., 86, died peacefully at Hospice House in Savannah, on April 22, 2013. He was a native of Pooler, GA. Mr. Wallace was the son of Grady and Alice Wallace, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Myra Wallace.
Mr. Wallace was retired from Union Camp, and was a member of the Pooler First Baptist Church for 70 years. He is survived by his children: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wallace (Ginger) of Monroe, GA; James (Jimmy) G. Wallace of Pooler, GA; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Purvis (Myra) of Claxton, GA. Grandchildren surviving are Mr. and Mrs. Mike Myers (Amanda Purvis) of Claxton, GA; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Romero (Kristi Wallace) of Covington, GA; Mr. C. Brenton Wallace of Conyers, GA; Robert A. Clark of Conyers, GA; Jessica R. Wallace of Atlanta, GA; Lee Purvis of Claxton, GA; Luke Purvis of Statesboro, GA; and three great grandchildren, Matthew and Tanner Myers of Claxton, GA, and Luke Romero of Covington, GA. Mr. Wallace is also survived by his sister, Jeanette Faulk of Wilmington Island, GA, and brother, Buddy Wallace (Margie) of Eatonton, GA. The graveside funeral and burial will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
