Grady W. Wilson
Rincon- Grady W. Wilson, 92, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Effingham Care Center.
The Toombs County native was a member of Rincon Baptist Temple. He had farmed, worked at Union Camp, and retired from Gold Bond Building Products after 30 years. Grady accepted Christ as his savior in September of 1958, and had been instrumental in establishing several Independent Baptist Churches. Grady was a self made man, jack of all trades, mentor to many, and the leader and backbone who led a 5th generation family.
Survivors include six children, Maxine Harrison (James), Pruella Dix (Douglas), Glenn W. Wilson, Bennie H. Wilson (Teresa), Wanda Howell (Kenneth), Melinda Hafeman (Mike); 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, April 28, 2017 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Rincon Baptist Temple.
Interment: Springfield Cemetery Annex
