Graeme Aubrey Young

Springfield----Graeme Aubrey Young, 18, passed away March 25, 2017 at his home.

Born July 22, 1998 in Savannah, Graeme was a 2016 graduate of Effingham County High School where he was active in the marching band and participated in the 4-H Shooting Team. He attended First Baptist Church of Springfield where he was active in the youth group and the praise band.

He had a passion for helping others and was active in mission trips with the youth group at church. He loved running the sound booth at church for both Wednesday night youth group and Sunday services. Although in college at Georgia Southern University, he always made sure he was home on Wednesday nights for youth group services and Huddle House with friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching football and playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ereatus Brown.

Survivors include his parents, Trey and Rebecca Young; brother, Riley Young; grandparents, Louis C. Young Jr. of Savannah; Catherine Young of Rincon; Patricia Brown of Willacoochee; his great-grandmother, Louetta Brown of Willacoochee; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
