Grayson Warren Turner, 71, passed away August 28, 2023 at his home after a prolonged illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Turner and Cuba Nell Barnes Turner; and his sister, Penny Rowan.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Angie Turner; daughter, Katie Vandenhouten (Sean); son, Scott Turner (Rachel Bradford); grandchildren, Turner and Emery Vandenhouten; sisters, Linda Turner, June Cooper, Joyce Weather; brother, Clayton Turner; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Otis.

Grayson, affectionately known as "Graydog," had a larger-than-life personality, and he loved boating, fishing, golfing, playing music, and dancing. He loved his family fiercely, and especially loved sitting with his grandchildren and watching them play.

He was a hardworking welder and pipefitter, and was a member of the Local 188 Union. He was always the life of the party, and he will be dearly missed. His last wish was to be remembered as a good father. And he was.

Visitation will be 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the funeral home.

Memorial services will be 11 am Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.
