Gregory Allen West, 64, of Eden, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at his home.

He is going to be missed by his son, Dalton West; sister, Theresa Thompson; brother, Gary West; nieces and nephews, Cassie, Carrie, Brian, and Deana, as well as his great-niece, Taylor, and her husband, Levi, and his great-nephew, Steven.

Gregory was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Murphy West, his parents, Elzie Vinson West, Jr. and Mattie Holloway West, and his brother-in-law, Terry Thompson.  He grew up in Port Wentworth, Georgia, and was a 1979 graduate of Groves High School.  He was a member of the Savannah River Radio Club and Hunter's Arsenal.  He retired from the GA Ports Authority, ILA #2046.  He will be remembered as being kind-hearted, generous, and being a friend to many.  He enjoyed listening to music, hunting, fishing, and riding his three-wheeler.

The visitation will be on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  The funeral to honor his life will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
