Obituary

Swainsboro – Grover Cleveland "Red" Oglesby, 79, passed away on August 24, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Oglesby was born in Emanuel County and lived in Swainsboro since 1992. He retired from the Borden Company in 1990 which he loved serving his customers milk and ice cream. He was a member of Meldrim Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sally Oglesby; five brothers, Roy, Joe, Allen, Earl, and Talmadge; and three sisters, Nezzie, Frances, and Janette.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rose Ellen Oglesby; his children, Gary C. Oglesby (Debi), Marie Into (Hubert), and Diane Lee (Arthur); grandchildren, Corey Davis, Brandon Into, Matthew Into, Garin Jackson, Deborah Davis, and one special grandson, James Davis; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 1-2 pm Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 pm Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery.
