Bloomingdale-Mr. Harry Walker Hughes, Sr., 74, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home with his family and loved ones at his side.
Mr. Hughes was born in Savannah to the late Albert & Alice Hughes. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Marie Jovan; sister, Shirley Ann Hughes Warren, and a brother, Albert W. Hughes, Jr. He retired out of the floor covering business where he was a master of his craft and enjoyed passing his knowledge on to others. He also enjoyed metal detecting.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary "Cookie" Hughes; children, Harry Walker Hughes, Jr., Samantha Ann Mucklow, David Patrick Hughes, Kellie Hughes Miles and Megan Hughes Livingston; twelve grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Hughes Anderson; brothers, William W. Hughes and Clifton A. Hughes; a number of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home.
